Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern the use of services provided by Hey Smart Tech (“Hey Smart Tech,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) to residential customers (“Customer,” “you,” or “your”) in Broward County, Florida.
By scheduling an appointment, paying an invoice, or allowing a Hey Smart Tech technician to perform work at your property, you agree to these Terms.
1. Scope of Services
Hey Smart Tech provides in-home and on-site smart home and technology services, including but not limited to:
- Installation and setup of Ring™ and similar smart doorbells, cameras, alarms and accessories
- TV mounting and basic AV hookup
- Smart lock and smart thermostat installation
- WiFi network setup, optimization, and basic troubleshooting
- Smart lighting, smart home configuration, and related services
We do not manufacture, warrant, or sell the devices themselves. All hardware warranties are provided by the manufacturer.
2. Service Area
Hey Smart Tech currently serves residential customers in Broward County, Florida. Service availability may depend on technician schedule and location.

- Your appointment is not confirmed until you receive written or electronic confirmation (email or text) from Hey Smart Tech.
- We reserve the right to decline or reschedule appointments for safety, access, or other reasonable business reasons.
4. Customer Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide safe, clear access to the property and areas where work will be performed
- Ensure an adult (18+) is present for the duration of the appointment
- Ensure working power outlets, WiFi, and internet access where required
- Provide all necessary devices, hardware, mounts, and accessories unless otherwise agreed in writing
- Have any required approvals from landlords, HOAs, or building management
- If conditions on-site prevent us from safely or reasonably completing the work, a trip fee or minimum service charge may still apply.
5. Estimates & Pricing
Pricing may be:
- Flat rate (“From $___” per service)
- Time & materials
- Or a combination thereof
“From” prices are starting rates only and may increase based on:
- Additional devices
- Complexity (e.g., high ceilings, limited access, masonry walls)
- Additional requests made on-site
- You will be informed of any material price changes before work begins or continues.
6. Payment Terms
Payment is due at the time of service, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
We currently accept:
- Major credit/debit cards
- Other methods as listed on our invoice or website
You authorize Hey Smart Tech to charge the payment method you provide for all services rendered, including trip fees, materials (if applicable), and applicable taxes.
Details regarding refunds and disputes are set out in our Payment, Refund & Chargeback Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms.
7. Access & Missed Appointments
You are responsible for ensuring we can access your property at the scheduled time. If the technician arrives and cannot gain access or no adult is present, this may be treated as a no-show and be subject to fees as outlined in our Cancellation, Reschedule & No-Show Policy.
8. No Emergency Services
Hey Smart Tech does not provide emergency response, life-safety, or 24/7 monitoring services. Our work does not replace:
- Police, fire, or medical services
- Licensed alarm monitoring contracts
- Life safety system design or installation
Smart home and security devices are supplemental tools only.
9. Third-Party Products & Services
We may assist with setup and configuration of third-party devices, apps, or services (e.g., Ring™, Alexa™, WiFi routers, streaming apps). We do not control and are not responsible for:
- Outages or failures of internet service providers
- Vendor app updates, service changes, or downtime
- Manufacturer defects or limitations
All third-party terms and privacy policies apply to those products and services.
10. Limited Warranty on Labor
We warrant our labor only (not hardware) for a limited period as described in our Service Warranty, Liability & Customer Responsibilities Policy. This is a repair-or-adjustment warranty, not a money-back guarantee.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Hey Smart Tech is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost data, lost profits, or loss of use.
- Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to services provided shall not exceed the total amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
You acknowledge that drilling, mounting, wiring, and other installation activities carry inherent risk of minor cosmetic damage (e.g., small holes, scuffs). We will use reasonable care, but are not responsible for pre-existing conditions or hidden defects (e.g., wiring, plumbing, structural).
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hey Smart Tech, its owners, employees, and contractors from any claims, damages, or losses arising from:
- Misuse or unauthorized modification of installed devices
- Failure to maintain or secure your own network or devices
- Failure to follow manufacturer safety instructions
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. The “Last Updated” date will reflect any changes. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

1. Introduction
Hey Smart Tech (“we,” “us,” “our”) provides smart home and Ring device installation, TV mounting, WiFi optimization, and related services to residential customers in Broward County, Florida.
By booking an appointment, paying a deposit, signing a work order, or allowing our technician to begin work, you (“Customer”) agree to these Service Terms & Conditions.
If you do not agree, please do not book or use our services.
2. Scope of Services
We install and configure customer-supplied devices, including but not limited to Ring doorbells, cameras, alarms, smart lighting and solar, TVs, smart locks, thermostats, WiFi equipment, and Alexa devices.
We do not manufacture, sell, or warrant any third-party hardware or software.
Our responsibility is to install, configure, and test the devices at the time of service based on the information and environment provided.
Any additional work not listed in the original quote or work order may be treated as “Additional Services” and billed separately.
3. Quotes, Estimates & Work Orders
Any quote or estimate provided (by phone, text, email, or online) is based on the information you give us.
Final pricing may change if conditions are different on-site (e.g., wall type, wiring complexity, access issues, additional devices).
Before work begins, we may ask you to confirm or sign a work order describing the services and pricing.
Once you approve the work order (verbally, in writing, or by allowing work to start), you agree to pay the agreed price, subject to any additional services requested.
4. Customer Responsibilities
You agree to:
Provide accurate information about your home, devices, and existing wiring.
Ensure an adult (18+) is present during the appointment.
Provide safe access to the property, including clear walkways and safe ladder placement where required.
Ensure there is working internet, WiFi, and power if needed for the services.
Have all devices, mounts, and accessories on-site, in new or good working condition (unless otherwise agreed).
If we cannot complete the work because these conditions are not met, a trip fee or minimum service charge may still apply.
5. Third-Party Accounts, Apps & Passwords
We may assist you in setting up or signing into third-party apps (Ring, Amazon, Google, etc.) on your devices.
You are responsible for your own passwords, account security, and ongoing access.
We strongly recommend you change any temporary passwords shared during the visit after the appointment.
We are not liable for any loss of access, hacking, or unauthorized account use after the appointment.
6. No Emergency or Life-Safety Monitoring
Hey Smart Tech is not a monitoring company or emergency service provider.
We do not monitor cameras, alarms, or devices for security events.
For any emergency, always contact 911 or your local authorities.
Your devices’ performance may depend on internet, power, and third-party services outside our control.
7. Photos, Documentation & Proof of Service
To protect both you and us:
Our technician may take photos or short videos of installed equipment, device settings, and work areas as proof of completion and condition.
These may be used internally for documentation, training, quality control, and to respond to disputes or chargebacks.
We will not publicly post identifiable interior photos of your home without your permission.
8. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in effect on the date of your scheduled service will apply.
