Cancellation, Reschedule & No-Show Policy

This policy helps us keep fair scheduling for all customers and ensures our technicians’ time is respected.
1. Standard Cancellation Window
You may cancel or reschedule your appointment at least 24 hours in advance with no cancellation fee.

Your change is not final until you receive a confirmation from Hey Smart Tech.
2. Late Cancellations
A late cancellation is when you cancel less than 24 hours before your scheduled appointment.
- Late cancellations may incur a cancellation fee or forfeiture of deposit (if one was taken).
- Specific amounts may vary based on the job size and will be disclosed at booking.
3. No-Show Appointments
A no-show occurs when:
- Our technician arrives during the scheduled window, and
- We cannot access the property, or
- No adult (18+) is available to approve or allow work to begin
No-shows may result in:
- A no-show fee, and/or
- Forfeiture of any deposit
Repeated no-shows may result in refusal of future service.
4. Technician Delays & Rescheduling by Hey Smart Tech
We aim to arrive within the promised time window. However, delays may occur due to traffic, emergencies, extended prior appointments, or weather.
If we must reschedule due to our own issues:
- We will notify you as soon as reasonably possible
- You will not be charged a cancellation or no-show fee
- You may cancel without penalty if the new time does not work for you
5. Safety & Access Issues
If our technician determines that the environment is unsafe or unsuitable (e.g., aggressive behavior, hazardous conditions, denied access to work areas):
- We may cancel the appointment on-site
- A trip fee or minimum service charge may apply
6. How to Avoid Fees
- Confirm that an adult will be home during the appointment window
- Make sure gates, doors, and entry points are accessible
- Inform us as early as possible if your schedule changes
